Shutterfly, oh how I love thee, let me count the ways…

4 Nov

I love Shutterfly! I have been using their site for my photo needs for several years now and I have never once been disappointed in their products.  A few weeks ago I ordered Fall cards and I was shocked at the quality of them. They are printed on thick paper and the pictures are printed very clear.  When I heard about Shutterfly offering bloggers 50 free photocards to blog about their Christmas cards, I knew I wanted to apply! And I was thrilled when I was chosen!  I’ve been looking at their photocards for over an hour (no joke!) and I just can’t decide which is my favorite design!

They have Religious Christmas Cards which I love.  I always want to send out some sort of religious Christmas card, but normally the designs are so blah and boring.  But Shutterfly has some great designs this year!

Cute right?  But wait, there’s more. They have a HUGE assortment of regular Christmas Cards.  I really like to put multiple photos on a card (I just have such a hard time narrowing down the choices!), so I really love this card

And if you are feeling extra ambitious, how cute are these Holiday Gift Tags? Here is my favorite.

Wouldn’t that be super cute on a gift?  Especially if it was wrapped in brown paper and tied with twine?  Okay, maybe I’m getting a little carried away.  But, whatever the case may be, you need to check out Shutterfly when placing your holiday card order this year.  They have so many designs to choose from that your sure to find something you love!  They are always running a special also so make sure to look at their homepage.

Would you like to Blog about Shutterfly and recieve 50 free holiday cards too?  Visit here for details.

Win It Wednesday – Butter Bell

3 Nov

Recently, I was given the opportunity to review a Butter Bell® Crock.  I often get frustrated with butter that’s too hard to spread.  Many times I resort to using margarine or something similar, but it never tastes the same as real butter.  When I was asked to review a Butter Bell® Crock I was so excited.  Not only would this (hopefully!) end my butter frustrations, but it’s also really cute!  I was able to choose which design I wanted, so I chose the deep red to match my kitchen (since it sits on the counter, I wanted it to look cute!).

Isn’t it cute!  All you do is put 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup) into the lid, then put a couple of inches of water into the crock, put the lid on it and you have ready to spread butter whenever you want!  It really works too.  It’s been relatively chilly the last week or so and I haven’t turned on my heater yet so my house has been pretty cold and the butter is still easy to spread whenever!  You just need to change the water every 3 days to keep it fresh.

Butter Bell® Crock is currently running a Christmas Special – But 2 Crocks, Get 1 Free!  So, you can buy 2 for people on your Christmas list and keep the 3rd one for yourself!

In addition to having the Butter Bell® Crocks, they also have other really cute items like vases, salt and pepper shakers, creamer pitchers, etc.

You think this sounds wonderful and you have to have one? Well, Guess what! The nice folks at Butter Bell have given me the opportunity to give a reader a Butter Bell crock also!

Halloween Costume

2 Nov

Recently I was given the opportunity to review a costume from Costume Supercenter.  Originally they wanted me to review one of their many Thanksgiving Costumes, but the smallest size they come in is 2T, so they agreed to let me review a Halloween costume!  They have lots of infant costumes including many bunting options for really little babies.  Elizabeth is starting to explore more and I knew she would want something that she could easily move around in.  When I saw the Pink Little Lamb costume, I knew that’s what Elizabeth should be for Halloween!

Doesn’t Elizabeth make THE CUTEST little lamb?  (I know, I think I may be a little partial to her cuteness. 🙂 )  The costume was made REALLY well.  The fabric was very soft and felt good on Elizabeth’s skin.  We did put a onsie on under the costume, but Elizabeth loved to play with the hat (I think she thought we got her a new toy).  My mom is an experienced sewer and she was really impressed with the workmanship of the costume.  I really liked that the headpiece is completely separate from the body. When she got too warm (It was 80 degrees on Halloween!! Crazyness!) we were able to completely take off the hood and she was still very cute in the costume.  I also really liked that the arm “hooves” can be folded up so Elizabeth was able to use her hands throughout the evening. The only Con I have (which is really minor) is that her ears wouldn’t stick out like in the picture, but I think her floppy ears are really cute too!

Make sure you check out Costume Supercenter the next time you’re in the market for a costume of any sort!

Getting all dressed up. I wonder if anyone will recognize me...

On my way trick or treating!

Aren't I a cute lamb?

Just chillin' with my pumpkins...

Hmm, which kind of candy do I want...

Printable Game Fun

26 Oct

Recently I was given the opportunity to review several of Python Printable Games.  I was able to look at the Thanksgiving games and the United States Trivia.

One thing I loved about this company is you have access to the games as soon as you buy them. You don’t have to wait for anything to ship and you don’t have to go to the store to get it.  It’s all from the comfort of your home.  I’m usually a last minute planner, so if it’s midnight the night before your party or event and you need some games, this is perfect!

Thanksgiving Games – “We have over 30 printable items, including scavenger hunts, trivia, party games and craft activities suitable for Fall Harvest and Thanksgiving: even NFL games for the guys to play in the evening!”   My favorite is a Fall Scavenger Hunt.  It even gives clues for younger kids.  Here is a Fall Harvest and Thanksgiving coloring page giveaway .  It  also has a coupon for $5 off $19.95 or higher purchase.

United States Trivia – “All 50 states are represented, with 15 questions per state, totaling 750 questions. Quizzes cover state nicknames, trees, flowers, capitals, history, funny facts, bizarre laws and local customs and more.”  I really like trivia.  I thought I knew all the odd facts about my state, but surprisingly there were several questions I didn’t know the answer to! It’s fun to know little trivia facts, who knows where it may come in handy! (At Freshman Orientation when I was in college, I won a gift for knowing that OSU’s original mascot was the Tiger, but it was so close to Princeton’s mascot and colors, we changed to Pistol Pete for our mascot.)  Here is another free printable with some coloring pages and trivia games.

Let me know if you decide to get either of these items, I loved them and I know you will too!
